Recently, some of the Singapore reseller servers had some problems mainly due to network and hardware related issues at our local Singapore Data Center. We believe some improvements need to be made in option uptime and reliability on our Singapore reseller servers in order to keep all valued customers 100% satisfied with our services. Thus as of today we will be moving part of our Singapore resellers to our brand new reseller servers to the new Singapore Softlayer Data center. Those customers who will have their accounts moved to our new servers will be contacted personally in order to be informed about their new IP information. Note that this transfer will not cause any downtime and all your data including files, images, databases, e-mails etc. will be transferred automatically.

Hello.

Singapore server “Rhino” was showing few disk errors on its primary drive. Were have arranged an emergency data migration to a hard drive. The estimated downtime for the drive replacement and data migration is 4 hours. We will keep you updated with the progress here.

Progress2: We were experiencing very slow write speeds to the new hard drive. We have temporally stopped the data migration. The server is back ONLINE.

Important: This mail contains details about branded nameserver changes that you and your Sub-Resellers need to make before the 7th of November, 2011. If these changes are not made, Domain Names using these branded nameservers will stop resolving post 7th November.

We have recently made improvements to our DNS Infrastructure and as part of these updates you will need to make changes to your Fully Branded Nameservers before the 7th of November, 2011.

With these changes our servers are now hosted in multiple geographically-distributed locationsand have better specifications to facilitate faster DNS resolution. There will also be 4 IP addressesassigned for each of the name servers, instead of the current set of 3.

Guna meningkatkan kemampuan sistem yang ada saat ini, Pengelola Nama Domain Internet Indonesia (PANDI) akan menghentikan seluruh pendaftaran nama domain .id pada 17-25 November 2011. Penghentian sementara ini diperlukan untuk melakukan migrasi sistem dan database ke sistem baru.

Pendaftaran dan pembayaran terakhir dapat dilakukan hingga 16 November
2011 pukul 17.00 wib. Selanjutnya, pendaftaran nama domain dapat dilakukan kembali mulai 26 November 2011. Domain yang jatuh tempo pada masa penghentian pendaftaran ini akan otomatis diperpanjang hingga 26 November 2011.

Rencananya peralihan sistem ini akan selesai pada 25 November 2011 pukul 24.00 WIB.

Namun, lanjut Sigit, PANDI masih akan memberi kesempatan bagi perusahaan penyedia jasa Internet dan penyedia hosting yang akan menyelesaikan pembayaran bisa dilakukan maksimal pada 16 November 2011 pukul 17.00 WIB. Sementara pendaftaran domain .id sekaligus akses Internet berdomain .id baru bisa dibuka kembali pada 26 November 2011 pada 00.00 WIB.

“Sehingga dalam sembilan hari tersebut, pendaftaran nama domain baru tidak bisa dilakukan,” jelasnya.

Pada Januari 2012 nanti, PANDI akan membuka kesempatan bagi perusahaan yang berniat menjadi registrar. Layanan tersebut terbuka bagi semua perusahaan yang memenuhi persyaratan teknis, administratif, dan finansial.

“Tapi biasanya registrar adalah perusahaan penyedia jasa Internet atau penyedia web hosting,” jelasnya.

Sigit meminta registrar tidak sekadar memasarkan nama domain. Namun, lebih bisa dipasarkan dengan cara paket layanan akses Internet maupun web hosting sehingga bisa menjadi paket premium.

Unfortunately the hard disk of DE0 where OS was installed have failed. We have tried to get it fixed but unfortunately a replace has to be done. We already started the process, we will have to reinstall OS/cPanel and restore the accounts.

Please note that we did not lost any files, everything is secure but unfortunately it might take about 10-12 hours for all the accounts to be restored.
