Expected Impact: There will be a loss of redundancy while this work is being performed. There is no expected impact to services.
Details: Over the past 6 weeks, we have been working closely with one of our carrier partners, Segra. An action plan was put in place to fix a chronic problem with a long-haul fiber span that has been negatively impacting service to our customers in Lenoir NC. As a result, Segra will be performing extensive work on the span to ensure a permanent fix is put in place to ensure future stability. This maintenance activity will consist of two windows, September 12th 00:01 EDT to September 12th 05:00 EDT; and September 19th 00:01 EDT to 05:00 EDT. If the work cannot be completed within those two maintenance windows, it will continue into two further maintenance windows on September 13th and 20th (between 00:01 EDT and 05:00 EDT). Our network engineers will ensure that your services are not impacted during these windows but there will be a loss of redundancy.
